Little Swimmer

This little lady loves to swim! Yesterday, we went over to a neighbor and friend's house and took gates in the pool for the very first time. She did not cry at all! She loved splashing around and playing with Brandon in the water. She loved playing on the steps, too! This made me feel good about starting swim lessons in a couple of weeks.

Mother's Day in Granbury!

Today was a fabulous Mother's Day! It started with Brandon letting me sleep in. Until 11:00!!! Rock On!!! Then we had lunch and headed out to Granbury to be with my parents and my brother and his family. We had a picnic and then we played around in the river.

This quickly became Gates's favorite activity. Swinging on the bed. Funny enough, this bed is ours and will be Gates's bed when she is out of the crib. Mom is storing it for us... anyways mom reminded me that she will be swinging from her bed at all hours someday.........

3 generations

Brandon got this new hat because, "he likes the orange color." Well, in the car I was asking him what that hat was all about, I didn't get it... Then he looked at it again........... chick magnet... So Brandon, don't you think???

It was only a matter of time. But are they cute, or what? Raedyn, Rhylie, and Charlie!

This video is of the champion rock skipper. Now, he informed us that the true champion and world record holder had a rock that skipped 54 times. He is only like 46 away from breaking that record.

Pops came to visit!

Brandon's dad, POPS, came to visit and got to spend some Q-time with Gates! She loves this baby doll that her got her for her birthday. And she really loves being pulled (again and again and again) in her wagon!!!

Bounce!

Gates had very little interest in bouncing in this bounce house. That is until she saw Keelan go in and have a ton of FUN! They were loving it!

One Year!

Today we went for the 1 year appointment. Gates did pretty good. She did great with everything except the shots. :(
She weighs 20 pounds 10 oz. She is 30 1/2 inches long. She is tall and skinny.

She had the MMR shot, I know a lot of people put this one off, but we went ahead and got it. I feel confident that the doctor knows what he is talking about, and we just watched a SVU about a kid getting measles... Truthfully, I kinda wanted to wait but Brandon thinks I was being ridiculous.
All in all, the appointment was good. My mom came with me, thank goodness b/c it is a difficult thing to handle all alone!!
