Mom has a new hip. She is still groggy, and has not eaten anything yet, but she has a new hip!! The nurse said she will be up and walking tomorrow. Can you even imagine? I am so thankful that she is okay and looking forward to her living her life w/o the pain she has had.

Jeers to the doctor's office that left her a terrible message on Friday afternoon just before they closed. They said that they "found a shadow on her lungs" and she had to have it tested before the surgery. She had her MRI on Monday and everything is fine. But the entire weekend and all day Monday my mom thought she had lung cancer. That is how her mother died.

Hip replacements have a mucher shorter rehab period these days...I'm sure she will do well.

Mallie, there is NO excuse for the phone message on Friday just before the office closed....SOMEONE should have followed up with a personal call or at least left a number for a call back so your Mom could get some m,ore information. At the very least, they could have asked her to call first thing Monday morning and left it at that.

Tell your Mom that Ruth's mom said hi!
