I went grocery shopping today. I got a cart full of stuff, thankfully, my mom had Gates and I was able to get down to business. By this, I mean that our cupboards were bare, and I needed it all. I began unloading my buggie and suddenly it hit me. My wallet. was. in. my. diaper bag. AT HOME. Dang it, I said to the cashier. The man in front of me was so nice. He said, "do you want me to just charge this for you"... How nice that little angel of a man was. Of course, I told him no, headed home to get my money, and then paid. Funny beginning to my day!

Six Months Old

OK, have you ever been around strangely obnoxious people? I should probably not even post this, but these people do not read my blog or even know I do have a blog. These people (even after dining with me) probably do not even know I exist.
I am always up for meeting new folks and I am up for seeing how people interact with one another. So, we had my parents, Gates, and me (Brandon stayed home because he had met these people once before and decided not to go.) We had the father, daughter and mother. The daughter was close to my age.
I guess these folks are quite rich, (she inherited 20 million when an uncle died) but money can not buy class, nor manners, nor taste. These people were out there. It was indeed interesting and needless to say my parents and I had plenty to talk about on our way home.
It just got me thinking about people and money and manners and mannerisms and actions. Do people think that money excuses rude behavior? Do people think that talking about money makes them look good? Does it?
I really wish I could have heard what they said on their way home about my parents and me. Maybe I am being too hard on these people. Our host and connector is very good friends with these folks. I am sure that they have many nice qualities. Humble, reserved, polite, and kind are not among them.
** sidenote, by posting this, I do realize that I am appearing VERY polite and kind... humble and reserved too!

For my birthday Brandon took the day off of work and we went to the zoo. Gates seemed to like it, I have a feeling in the coming months, it will be more exciting! The Fort Worth Zoo is so pretty though, a very nice zoo indeed. I got a zoo pass, it is good for a year, Brandon said he probably would not be returning 4 times in the next year, so he passed on the pass...
What? where are we going, and why did you wake me up for it? Gates is just about out of this carseat. Our plan is to upgrade soon to the big one!
Gates loves Duncan. Duncan is so sweet with Gates. He likes to sit by her and hope that her hand accidentally rubs him or pats him... I just was telling her to be careful of his leg, that is his good paw and it needs to stay intact!
