Gates was born Monday at 4:32 P.M.!!!!
She was 7 pounds and 7 ounces, and 20.5 inches long... Of course, Brandon and I think she is just about as perfect as can be. Thanks to all of our special friends and family for so many prayers and thoughts! So far we know she likes her swing...And that is a picture of us leaving the hospital, all in pink to celebrate our new girl!!

I'm going to agree that she is perfect. We were discussing something in my reading group today about examples of things that are "food for the spirit" and I told them my friends' baby was food for my spirit. Thanks for letting me hold her while y'all ate and napped. I'd be happy to do it again.

One of the sweetest joys of my life to date was holding your little Gates for the first time. She is absolutely beautiful, and I am so proud and happy for you and Brandon! Way to be such a champ with labor...you are amazing!! Love you guys!

She is a doll. I am so happy for you and Brandon. I have enjoyed getting to know you through Anne MArie. I have known you would be a great mom. Enjoy this time(sleep deprived as it may be) you will turn around and she will be 2 just wanting to play "tiny baby".
